Air filters and Hot Sparkplugs

Hey guys/gals,

What brand air filter have you found to be the least restrictive, and where can I get one on-line? The factory one seems to choke my engine a bit despite cleaning it regularly. K&N doesn't make filters for the savage, and I don't feel like rengineering the air box to accomidate a different air filter(as explained in earlier posts).

Also, the manual recommends using a partictlar spark plug, but says that you can use a hot type if you see excessive deposits on the plug. My thinking is...the more fire the better...so I'm thinking about putting in hot split fires. Anyone have any experience with these?
